My name is Miri and I turned 16 just one month ago. I have been living in Efrat for my whole life. My favorite place in Israel is Jerusalem, especially at night. At night all the lights are lit and Jerusalem looks so beautiful! This time of year Jerusalem is filled with electric chanukiot which are attached to the lamps. These chanukiot light up the whole city and it is a magnificent sight. I live about half an hour drive away from Jerusalem so I drive in often.
I love going to the beach and just look at the waves breaking. Feeling the warm sand between my toes and the wind in my face. It is so calming! I can lay on the sand for hours!
My family has a great impact on my life. I have 7 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 nieces and nephews. Four of my brothers have served in the army (two still today) and I look up to them. They sacrifice their lives for the country and put their lives on hold. I hope one day I can contribute that much to my country.
I love to dance. I have been going to dance lessons in Efrat and Jerusalem for about five years. Unfortunately I stopped attending these classes because I have a lot of school work. I miss going to dance lessons but I dance at home.
All in all I think I am a happy person. I always like to go out with my friends and have a good time. Good food and my good friends is all you need to have a good time.
